Founded in 1945 by A. Lamprecht in Basel, Switzerland, American Lamprecht, Inc., was incorporated as a subsidiary under New York state law in 1968. This family-owned, Swiss company has experienced success due to years of hard work and the tireless commitment of our employees.

  • 1966

    Lamprecht Transport opens a satellite office in New York to manage traffic between the USA and Switzerland.

  • 1968

    American Lamprecht Transport Inc, a U.S. Corporation under the laws of the state of New York is born.

  • 1975

    The second office of American Lamprecht Transport is opened in Chicago.

  • 1981

    American Lamprecht Transport acquires Jean Dill Customs Brokerage and opens the third office.

  • 1998

    After 17 years, American Lamprecht Transport opens it’s fourth office in Los Angeles.

  • 2003

    The company becomes approved as a CT-PAT certified forwarder.

  • 2005

    American Lamprecht Transport opens its 5th branch in Miami.

  • 2010

    American Lamprecht Transport opens its 6th branch in Houston.

  • 2014

    American Lamprecht Transport acquires Senrac Transportation Services to add to its Houston branch operations.

  • 2016

    American Lamprecht Transport merges with Seabridge International Freight, operating as Seabridge-Lamprecht and opens its 7th branch office.

  • 2016

    American Lamprecht Transport acquires a significant shareholder position with Amcar Freight and the named is changed to Amcar-Lamprecht, which re-establishes the presence in Miami for American Lamprecht.

  • 2017

    American Lamprecht Transport acquires Denver Customs Brokerage in and opens its 8th branch in Denver, Colorado.

  • 2018

    American Lamprecht Transport merges with Benchmark Worldwide Transportation — operating as “Benchmark Lamprecht” to add to the Houston branch operations.

  • 2018

    American Lamprecht Transport opens its 9th office in San Francisco to give the company presence for the first time in the four corners of the continental United States — including the northern and southern midwestern United States as well.

  • 2018

    American Lamprecht Transport celebrates 50 years in business.

  • 2020

    Jenny Vargas-Lamprecht takes over the family legacy becoming the 4th generation leading Lamprecht Transport
